Jim’s Quality Carpentry Website

UX DESIGN - PHOTOGRAPHY - CONTENT - HTML/CSS

Summary

Project Background

The Jim’s Quality Carpentry website was created for a client based out of Arnprior, ON. Jim’s Quality Carpentry offers a broad range of carpentry and general contracting work from commercial, residential, and home remodelling. For a first time developer, I found it challenging but rewarding to create a website that pleased the client. From developing the content to coordinating the photography, I believe this site displays my knowledge of front-end development.

Client's Needs

Jim’s Quality Carpentry wanted a website that displayed their work of various projects — allowing costumers to view before and after stages of the project completed by the company. The client wanted a simple website that included images, descriptions, and contact information.

Site Map

Below is a developed site map showing the list of pages within the website that are accessible to users. The website is meant to be simple and straightforward to provide customers with past work, services, and knowledge about the company.

Wireframes

Below are wireframes of the multiple pages within the website. It is a visual representation in a skeletal framework. The client wanted a consistent flow between the pages that focus more on the information and imagery.

Process

Photography

While creating the website, I also took all the photos that featured within the website. I travelled to the job sites with the client and captured images of finished jobs.
